Public transport from the airport to Odense

From Copenhagen Airport there is a train connection directly to Odense Train Station.

From Billund Airport you can go by bus number 43 and 143 to Vejle. From here you can take the train directly to Odense Train Station.

Public Bus from the center of Odense to the University of Southern Denmark.

At the registration-day you will receive a "green event ticket" to use in the bus.

Currency, exchange, credit cards and shopping

The official currency in Denmark is the Danish Crones (DKK). 1 EUR = 7,44 DKK. American Express, Visa, Diners, Eurocard and Master Card are accepted in hotels, restaurants and city stores, but you should ask or look for the logo before ordering a service. The usual shopping hours in Odense are from 10:00 a.m. to 18:00 p.m., in big shopping centres up to 21:00 p.m.

The Tourist Information VisitOdense is situated close to the City Hall at Vestergade 2, 5000 Odense C.

Meals, lunch, refreshment

Coffee/Tea during the coffee breaks and lunch will be available for the participants from 8 am to 4 pm every weekday within the University canteen. Reasonably priced menus change on a daily basis to offer a wide and rich selection of food.

Electricity supply

In Denmark, electricity is supplied at 230 V, 50 Hz. The 2-pin connecting plug is different from that used in some other countries, e.g. the USA, the UK and Japan.
